EIP Pledge Grows to 68 Signatories in Chicago

We are sending this quick note from Chicago, where nine distinguished public and private sector leaders just signed the EIP Pledge! This brings our coalition of the committed to an astounding 68 signatories.

We also celebrated the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) board's approval of the prime contractor for the $5.8 billion Red Line Extension, a significant step towards bringing much-needed rail transportation to Chicago's Far South Side. This is our collective work in action!

Signing today were:

Coalition of the Willing to Grow in Chicago & Seattle

EIP's coalition of public and private sector leaders has valuable experience that can assist colleagues nationwide in improving procurement and creating more opportunities in their communities. Eve Williams, President & CEO of Dikita, an award-winning engineering consulting firm, is one of EIP's most distinguished and active partners.

Championing Opportunity
Williams has over 45 years of industry experience, is a member of EIP’s Advisory Council, and is a vocal advocate for creating prime opportunities for smaller firms.

EIP's Growing Coalition & Impact

Our coalition of the willing includes industry associations who are a tremendous multiplier of our work. The Airport Minority Advisory Council (AMAC), under the leadership of President & CEO Eboni Wimbush, is a key partner of EIP’s, and graciously hosted our most recent Advisory Council meeting at its annual Economic Opportunity & Policy Forum in Washington, DC.

There, attendees witnessed a significant addition to EIP as Baltimore/ Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport CEO Ricky Smith signed our Pledge on stage, making our coalition 59-signatories strong.
