Michigan Department of Transportation Reinstatement of the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program
Effective with the April 3, 2026, bid letting, MDOT will be reinstating the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program that applies a DBE goal on bid letting items. MDOT has completed its reevaluation process, as required under 49 CFR Part 26.111, and will begin setting DBE goals again on construction projects. The selected bid letting items with a DBE goal will be identified by the 'Required DBE Participation' showing a percentage greater than 0% listed on the Advertisement.

We also celebrated the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) board's approval of the prime contractor for the $5.8 billion Red Line Extension, a significant step towards bringing much-needed rail transportation to Chicago's Far South Side. This is our collective work in action!
